Support and warranty

Do you offer a warranty?

We stand by the quality of our workmanship and parts and so all of our standard repairs come with a lifetime performance warranty. Unfortunately we can’t offer a lifetime warranty for the batteries or Mac repairs. The warranty for batteries and Mac repairs is limited to 12 months. Our warranty covers defects or faults that are related to the repair itself, but doesn't cover accidental damage. It also isn't available for repairs we undertake on water damaged devices due to the fact that internal corrosion can unfortunately mean that problems may continue to occur over time.

To learn more, visit our warranty page.

Do you offer ongoing support after repair?

We really enjoy helping people with their devices – sharing our knowledge, offering user tips and troubleshooting problems. If there's something you're unsure about after a repair, please get in touch so that we can help you. You can also check out our blog where we share technology tips, reviews and news.

Is my warranty with Apple voided?

Like most warranties, Apple's standard warranty covers device defects and faults but not accidental damage – an area that we specialise in.

However, it is important to note that your Apple warranty is voided if any third party repairs your device. Apple's standard warranty on iPhones, iPods and iPads runs for 1-year after purchase, and you can check your remaining Apple service and support coverage on the Apple website.

By using Apple to replace your damaged device, your Apple warranty will continue to the end of its term. If you're worried about this, then we would suggest that you approach them first.

If your device is out of warranty or you'd like a dependable, high quality and cheaper alternative then we're very happy to help!

Payment and pricing

Is VAT included in price?

All our prices include VAT so you don't need to worry about any hidden charges. Our receipts include a VAT breakdown, and we're registered with VAT number 102202691.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Will I get a refund if I cancel my order?

Repair cancellation – if you have paid for a repair but would like to cancel it before we have undertaken it, just let us know and we'll complete a full refund. For devices that have been sent to us for diagnosis, a small charge to cover our return postage will be required. If we have completed a repair but you're experiencing issues with your device, then we have a 1-year performance warranty.

Parts and accessories – our 30-day returns guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 30 days of the date you received the item, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item. We can only accept the return of opened items if they are faulty. Please note that we reserve the right to send back items to you that have been returned to us after 30 days unless they are faulty.

Will I receive a receipt after repair?

We send an electronic receipt via email to all of our customers. This includes the service details, cost breakdown and warranty information.

If the email hasn't arrived in your inbox, it may have gone into your junk folder. If it's not here, please get in touch and we'll double-check your details and send the email again.

How can I redeem a discount?

We often offer discount codes to new and existing customers.

While you wait – simply show us your discount card or quote your discount code to us when you come in for your repair. We'll apply it to your repair.

Express mail – when you complete your express mail order on our website, you can enter the voucher code at checkout. This will then be applied immediately to your order before you pay.

London courier – when we get in touch to arrange your courier, just quote your discount code to us and we'll apply it to your repair.

Will I still be charged if you can't fix my device?

We've always had a simple rule about our repairs: if we can't fix your device, we won't charge you for our service. We'll also try to suggest alternative ways you can solve your problem. If you've already paid (for example, if you've used our Express mail or London courier services) we'll carry out a refund.

Is the data on my device safe and secure during the repair?

Data security and privacy – as a hardware repair company, we generally only need to do very simple software tests that can be undertaken with you passcode lock still on. If you're worried about your data, you can very easily set up a passcode lock by following Apple's instructions.

However, in some situations we may need to ask you for your passcode in order to carry out a few further tests of things like settings. If this is the case, we have a very strict privacy policy so that you can be sure that our team won't view, store or share your personal information or data.

Data backup – regardless of whether you're using us for a repair, it is always good practice to regularly backup your device – something that Apple has now made extremely simple through iCloud. iCloud is very easy to set up. If you haven't set up iCloud already, it's well worth spending five minutes to do so.

Can you help if I don't know what's wrong with my device?

If you don't know what's wrong with your device, we're really happy to take a look at it. This diagnostic service is completely free of charge. We'll take a thorough look at your device, try to pinpoint the exact problem and let you know the best way to get it fixed. If you'd like us to take a look, simply get in touch.

What kinds of parts do you use?

Quality is a key component of our service and so we only use the highest quality parts available. This is why we can also offer a lifetime performance warranty on all of our standard repairs. If the part fails we'll replace it under this warranty. Please note that accidental damage or liquid damage are not covered by the lifetime performance warranty.

Do you unlock phones?

We don't currently offer an unlocking service. However, most mobile networks now offer this service themselves, and Giffgaff's unlockapedia provides a useful resource if you'd like to get your device unlocked.

Do you repair non-Apple devices?

At the moment, we are only specialise in iPhone, iPod, iPad, Google Nexus and Samsung Galaxy repairs.

Can you fix a blank screen?

If your device has a blank screen, it may be that the LCD has a fault. If this is the case it's important that you don't repeatedly press the screen in an attempt to activate it. If you do so, you may inadvertently be pressing the passcode and so disabling the device. Here is an Apple explanation.

If this happens, when we replace the LCD screen we might then see the message (for example) "iPhone disabled. You can try again in five minutes". Because we have to remove the battery during the repair, the time and date get reset to 1970, and so your device would be disabled for the amount of minutes from that time until the present. Fortunately we can correct the time and fix this problem using an internet connection, but it may also require a software restore if the device hasn't been setup to automatically update the time.

Do you do software repairs?

We have a firm focus on hardware faults and accidental damage (for example, battery, screen and button repairs), but do have some knowledge of software issues. If you have a problem with your software, we're always happy to give you some advice.
