1. Spend some cash at Covent Garden Market
Hop on the tube at Goodge Street (Northern Line) for ten minutes and jump off at Leicester Square. Walk around the corner and you’ll be in Covent Garden where you can enjoy street entertainers, shopping and of course the much loved market.
2. Relive history at the Charles Dickens Museum
Reachable by foot, the Charles Dickens Museum on Doughty Street is perfect for those bookworms looking to kill some time. Admission is £8 for adults and allows you enter Dickens’s restored home, where he wrote his famous works, to look around.
3. Take a stroll around Regents Park
Who’d have thought such a beautiful green space could be found in London, Regents Park is the perfect spot for a stroll while you wait for a repair to be completed. Simply hop on the tube at Goodge Street (Northern Line) for ten minutes and jump off at Regents Park tube station. Here you’ll find lush gardens, plenty of wildlife to enjoy and an open air theatre with regular performances throughout the summer.
4. Indulge at FRAE
If you fancy a sweet pick me up, within half an hour, then head on over to FRAE Frozen Yoghurt, at Topshop Oxford Circus (a ten minute walk from the Lovefone store). Their menu is absolutely guilt free and allows you to choose your frozen yoghurt and toppings and then enjoy it all without worrying about your waistline! Take a look at what’s on the menu and plan a trip for while you wait!
5. Pay a visit to Hamleys
Renowned for its 35,000 toys and games spread over seven floors, Hamleys is where dreams are made and if you haven’t paid the toy store a visit while in London it’s high time you did. Just a 15-minute walk from our store, prepare to be amazed by the huge range of toys on the shelves.
6. Be filled with wonder at Grant Museum of Zoology
Open Monday to Saturday between 1-5pm and free to visit, the Grant Museum of Zoology is an interesting way to pass half an hour of your time and just an eight minute walk from the shop. Marvel at a 5m long Anaconda skeleton, compare the brains of mammals and reptiles or take a look at the bizarre jar crammed with whole preserved moles.
7. Enjoy a tipple at The London Cocktail Club
If your idea of relaxing over half an hour means sipping from a delicious cocktail then a visit to The London Cocktail Club is definitely a must. Based in a basement bar just two minutes round the corner from our store you’ll find a trendy setting and a menu of creative cocktails to choose from. Plan your phone repair later in day, the bar opens at 4.30pm and we close at 6pm, but that leaves you plenty of time to squeeze a couple of drinks in while you wait!
8. Travel back in time at Pollocks Toy Museum
Pollocks Toy Museum is the perfect place to visit in a spare half hour for those who take an interest in vintage toys and games. There is an admission fee of £6 for adults and £3 for children but then you are free to explore the museum, which is filled with toys from yesteryear, with some even available to purchase.
